Sixteen Patch Stars

Sixteen Patch Stars
58 x 72 inches
Quilt of Valor #165
The flag star points were made with Sharon's fabric donation. The four-patch units were made from my overflowing 2.5 inch scrap bin. The pattern is from a Missouri Star Quilt Company (MSQC) tutorial video.

If you're not familiar with the MSQC tutorials, you might want to check them out on YouTube. The tutorials can also be viewed with a MSQC app.

  3. This one disturbs my eye ---- I notice I focus on the white blocks and then the stars are not apparent. You have to concentrate to see the stars .........well, at least, I do. It's sort of like one of those Magic Eye books.

  8. I watched the video AFTER I commented - and her technique was so clever. I thought I knew how the block was made, but I've learned something new again. Thanks for sharing the video!!

  9. Another great finish. I’ve made a lot of Missouri Star blocks over the years. The directions are great.
