Box o' Socks
contents of the Box of Socks January 2018 |
These were not the only socks knit this year, as I gave Marilyn two pair in October and Brenda two pair as well. So 2017 resulted in fifteen pair of socks.
My sock drawer is bursting, but sock knitting will continue. After all, there are 365 days in a year!
Merry Christmas to you! I love the variety of colors in those socks.
ReplyDeleteMy personal thought is YOU CANNOT HAVE toO MANY SOCKS . Whether you live in Wisconsin or WYoming! We use them, they are fun to knit and yes I have a new pair on the needles!
ReplyDeleteYou do so much for others making yourself socks in a must!
ReplyDeleteThat is a way cool gift! The socks you gifted me are well worn and I just love them.
ReplyDeleteYou always choose such pretty colors for your socks! Plus what a practical thing to make for yourself and others.
ReplyDeleteI saw the sockbox thing and it's really awesome! I am going to try and knit every other pair this year for someone else. Try. I always start off the year fairly ambitious. hehe
ReplyDeleteWell done! I have a box that I put my socks into as I make them too, but usually end up giving the vast majority away before I ever wear them. I love the colors of your beautiful box of socks. You can never have too many socks!
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Betsy
What fun! Love the variety you've made. I might have to try this for next year.
ReplyDeleteCongrats!!!
ReplyDeleteI am doing 2018 Box 'O Sox as well. It should be interesting to see how many we can all knit up.
How cool!
ReplyDeleteI'm sort of doing that with my new sock designs... they aren't getting worn until all 12 are done and the patterns released!
And it's not like I'm in desperate need of socks! Like you, my drawer is pretty darn full!
What a beautiful assortment of socks and what a fun idea. I would probably put each pair in a lined drawstring bag as I added them to the box so I would be surprised in December. I wore a pair you gifted me while everyone was here and everyone commented on them and then told me that I needed to learn how to knit socks because they all wanted some. LOL
ReplyDeleteThat is one happy picture! Well done!
ReplyDeleteThat is such a cool idea but I can't imagine waiting to wear a pair right off the needles! Just beautiful!
ReplyDeleteWell done on the sock knitting!
ReplyDeleteNice idea. They'd seem new to you again. I've been wearing some of my wool knit socks recently since it's been cold here. They well keep the feet warm, that's for sure.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun idea! And look at all those brand new socks! Stay warm!
