Rockets Red Glare
Rockets Red Glare Quilt of Valor 56 x 66 inches |
I found the perfect star fabric at the Wild West Winter Quilt Show on February 7, 2015: the fabric line was first released in January 2015. I cut two strips of the stars with the blue background and used them to add width to Rockets Red Glare.
Andover #7787-R the stars on this strip fabric are bright white |
Andover #7787-B the stars on this fabric are antiqued |
Rockets Red Glare is #56 in my goal to complete 64 Quilts of Valor by the end of July. A complete list of the QOV that I've made can be seen here.
That is PERFECT! That quilt will make a vet VERY happy!
ReplyDeleteThis quilt is striking! It just says it all doesn't it?
ReplyDeleteVery amazing how that new star fabric looks like it was part of the same line of fabric as the panel. Great find! Makes me want to dig out the patriotic panel I have and finish it similar to this.
ReplyDeleteJust beautiful Nancy!
ReplyDeleteFantastic! I love it! Your fabric and projects marinate like my knitting projects and yarn. It's amazing what they can become when you just let them be for a while.
