Gradient Garter Baby Blanket
Baby Blanket February 2015 |
Gradient Garter Baby Blanket (free pattern - PDF link)
Needles: size US 11 - 40 inch circular (Ravelry link recommends size US 13)
Yarn: Lots of Caron Simply Soft (Soft Peach, Baby Blue, Orchid, Soft Pink, White) as the blanket is knit with two strands of yarn.
Size: approximately 36 x 38 inches
Impressions: this makes a thick, heavy blanket and is a fun and mindless knit. I've already started another blanket, using scraps.
Acknowledgement: the yarn used for this blanket was donated by Mary - who surprised me with a generous gift in May 2014
Love it!
ReplyDeleteMindless knits are my favorite to do!
ReplyDeleteI love this blanket. The pastel stripes are wonderful. And I can imagine that with double strands, it is really fluffy, soft, and cuddly.
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous blanket. Nancy its just lovely
ReplyDeleteIt's absolutely beautiful! I love the gradient hues it really makes it seem that much "warmer", if that makes any sense. Always lovely charity knits, Nancy. I hope you know if you ever would like some charity yarn donations that all you'd have to do is post an ask...
ReplyDeleteI, too, love mindless knitting which may explain why my UFO knitting project has the back and one side of the front done. That little blanket is sweet. I haven't notice an oddball blanket recently.
ReplyDeleteI love the effect of this blanket. Very beautiful.
