Just Cases
Fourteen QOV presentation cases February 2015 |
I have no idea how the purple fabric found its way into my stash because it is one of my least favorite colors.
Update: the purple cases were donated to the local hospice home, and the other cases will be used for QOV presentations.
You always find a way to make things useful and beautiful:)
ReplyDeleteNice to put the remnants to excellent use. Yes, the purple fabric is VERY purple. LOL.
ReplyDelete14 -wow! And such a perfect way to use up yardage. The patriotic ones would go great with some of the QOV quilt you've worked on.
ReplyDeleteThat's a great idea for using up unwanted fabric. Now what are you going to do with the pillow cases?
ReplyDeleteIt is very pretty purple fabric! I wouldn't mind having some actual pillow cases in that color. I love a colorful bedroom. When we were first married DH would tell friends that my linen choices would keep him awake at night.
ReplyDeleteI bet there would be a children's charity that would want those purple pillow cases if you didn't want to keep them.
ReplyDeleteGood grief, you are so industrious! One Christmas I made everyone a pillowcase with a theme of something they like. The pillowcases are a great project because, as you said, they go fast and are useful!
ReplyDeleteI love purple. Those pillow cases are the perfect thing for the quilts of Valor.
ReplyDeleteI don't like purple either, I was told once it is an old lady color...maybe that is why? Nice job on the cases:)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful cases... I am missing sewing!!!....
ReplyDeleteI sometimes stop and scratch my head wondering where a rediscovered fabric came from.
ReplyDeleteGreat job on the cases. I don't seem to have any fabric at 26" or so that I'd be willing to give over to pillowcases! My guild makes and donates cases to our local hospitals. We've made over a thousand in the last 4 years. Pretty good for a group of less than 40 women. And, knowing how to make them I sometimes make pillowcases for the grands. Hum, must keep eye open for spring fabrics!
