If you would like to hear the Sons of the Pioneers (anyone remember them?) sing the ballad When It's Springtime in the Rockies, click here.
A forecast of snow this late in the season must be discouraging, even if it's typical for springtime in the Rockies.
ReplyDeleteWe broke long standing low temperature records in our area on Saturday. Crazy weather!
I won't say another word about the heavy frost that blanketed the area this morning!!
ReplyDeleteThat sure wouldn't qualify as spring in the desert:) Think perhaps it teaches you patience.
ReplyDeleteI'm not going to complain about all the rain we are getting. I totally love that cabin!
ReplyDeleteNice pics, and thanks for the weather report (we're still not sure of our route across the states, so this will be something to watch! lol) And isn't it funny, last night we googled and played "Tumblin Tumbleweeds" for our sons, who had never heard it! Too funny! (They have hardwood floors and dogs, and a hair 'tumbleweed' rolled by, and I started singing it. They looked at me like I had a third eye! lol
ReplyDeleteoh boy..Nancy ...
ReplyDeletesnow is just to much this time of year for me. I LOVE snow but not after March 1st.
TOo bad Mother Nature rules not me!!!
Sunny here, supposed to hit 60! WAHOOOOOO
Those two photos tell the true story of our Wyo weather in the spring!! I'm looking out the window at blowing snow...and I've got wood burning in the stove. Spring...really??? Yep. I put a little water and fertilizer on the grass yesterday when it was 50 degrees...and now this moisture ought to be good for the grass and trees. I suspect we'll start to really green up by the end of the week when temps will be back up near 50 degrees.
ReplyDeleteI had to listen to the Sons of the Pioneers...great song for this morning!
The snow is so beautiful!! We were caught in a blizzard in the Rockies, early in May one spring. Had a great time being snowed in and just sitting by the fire. It's one of my favorite memories!
ReplyDeleteWe have had the strangest weather this spring. It was HOT in January and in April ... it's been COLD!
ReplyDeleteBRRRRRR! The sun's out here, and it's a welcome change.
ReplyDeleteYikes. I'm complaining it is only high 50's here after having a week of weather in the 70's and 80's. I've been freezing all day of course, it helps to turn the heat up but once the ac is on who wants to turn on the heat? ME! Great pictures.
ReplyDeleteAt least it is moisture! I am so anxious for winter to end:)
