Matched Pair

Opal yarn (colorway unknown)
Size 2 needles
56 stitches
Size 9 - 10
Trust me, the yarn looked better in the skein than it does knit, but odd or not, the socks will be warm.

  1. They do match:) I have had that happen too that the colors just don't look that good made up.

  2. You did a great job of matching the stripes! I like the way the heel turned out to be almost solid blue and that it matches the toe. Looks like you planned it that way, though it was probably just a happy accident.

  3. Yes, sometimes Opals colorways are crazy. But those are nice. Everytime I try to match the stripes, I mess up horribly. Yours are lovely! and perfectly matched. g

  4. They are bright and cheerful, and everyone knows that those are the warmest socks ever.

  5. They turned out perfectly matched! That's not easy to do with some yarns, or maybe I don't have the patience to work through the change of colors to find the right place to start casting on. Nevertheless, this pair is very well done. You really are stepping out of your usual color selection. Good for you. Are you feeling a little daring??? LOL.

  6. I think the peach-ish section is what throws the colors out of whack, because everything else is so bright, but I'm impressed by your matching abilities.

  12. My advice is to gift those to an eccentric youth, they would be well loved. And you are quite the quick knitter, so many socks!
