Some smaller ice and snow sculptures were located in Odori Park the year that I attended the Sapporo Snow Festival. Previous posts show the larger sculptures which were located at another park.


Sapporo is a beautiful city.

    Wow. That's a lot of snow!! Not something I think too much about anywhere in the Orient, and yet... I know they do have mountains, big mountains...

    These photos are beautiful. I can see it must be a great city to tour. The mountains sure are close. I don't think of snowfall in Japan either!!

    Hi Nancy! I've had fun reading back through just a few of your posts. How lucky that you were able to be in Japan. I used to think I'd never want to travel there, but the more I read on the internet, the more I want to go!

    The one thing I do not miss about the Orient, the sheer press of people, so many people packed in.
