Bravo, Riverton
Riverton High School July 2012 |
"Fin D' Arabesque" Edgar Degas |
"Self Portrait" Vincent Van Gogh |
The Degas and Van Gogh are hanging near the Renoir that stirred up a bit of controversy in this small community. The Renoir is beginning to droop in the lower right corner; I hope it will be stretched a bit before it is ruined.
Other paintings on display in Riverton can be seen here and here.
Nice additions!
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful project. Art should be everywhere!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! Why did the Renoir cause controversy?
ReplyDeleteoh I love the CM russell paintings!
ReplyDeleteI really like this post, showing (and referencing)all the art in our small city. I love these pieces!! I commend those who are responsible for making these displays possible. It adds a uniqueness to our city! I agree with regan; art should be seen everywhere.
ReplyDeleteThat's awesome. Bravo to those who made it possible. I love our Art in Place efforts... even though I don't always admire the selections. We still have art in our median strips here and there, and how can I not support that?!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea! sure brightens up those walls!
ReplyDeleteCheers

I love the art. It is great for our students and citizens to be able to share them. I am happy to see there are people that make it possible and make a difference.

interesting..I like the fact that different styles of painting were chosen, that makes it interesting. Are the paintings covered with glass or something to protect them from the elements?? :)
