Eternity Scarf

In recent weeks, some knitting blogs I follow have featured the Eternity Scarf, pattern available on Ravelry. I finally gave into the urge and purchased the pattern ($4.00) and was pleased with how quickly it was to knit.

The above scarf used approximately 80 grams of Angora, Lambswool, Acrylic, and Nylon yarn on size 9 needles.

I like the versatility of this scarf, which can be worn several different ways, all shown on the Ravelry pattern page, link under photo.

I am offering the scarf shown in the top two photos to one of my readers. If you win and live in a warm climate, you are welcome to give it to a friend or relative in a colder one. Before December 31, 2010, leave a comment on this post about a project you want to work on next year. Winner will be announced on January 3, 2011.

If you want to share a a project but aren't interested in winning the scarf, just note that on your comment and I won't include your name in the drawing.

  1. I LOVE THE SCARF NANCY, AS ALWAYS IT'S BEAUTIFUL.
I WOULD LOVE TO MAKE A PAIR OF SOCKS IN 2011. I DON'T CARE IF I KNIT OR CROCHET THEM, I JUST WANT A PAIR OF HOMEMADE SOCKS. I JUST HOPE I CAN GET UP THE COURAGE TO DO IT.
HAVE A BLESSED DAY NANCY. DO YOU MIND IF I POST YOUR GIVEAWAY ON MY BLOG?

  3. How generous of you to give away such a pretty scarf! In warm climates like mine, scarves are not a necessity like they are where you live, but they are very popular and worn all the time. If I'm lucky enough to win this one, you can be sure I will wear it proudly. Next year I want to finish knitting the Dogwood Blossom Wrap I started in August. I'm not very far into the project and haven't touched it in so long that it will be like starting from scratch when I finally get back to it.

  5. I have 3 different colorways of Araucania by Atacama. I want to knit one of them up in a Clapotis. Love that Eternity Scarf -- it reminds me of a mobius.

  6. I love the scarf! It is really beautiful! I would like to re-learn how to crochet this year. I will at least try - don't know if my fibromyalgia will allow me to do it. Thanks for having a lovely giveaway!

I would love to win one of your creations! Count me in!!!
As far as my projects for the year 2011? I will continue to crochet preemie baby booties, hats, and blankets for the EGF charity; and I really enjoy following along with Craft Hope (crafthope.com) and the charity projects they come up with. :)
Thank you for your generosity Nancy! <3
    Good luck everyone!

  8. These are absolutely BEAUTIFUL, Nancy!! I would love to have one. Of course here in Louisiana I would only get to wear it a few times a year, but I would be the envy of my friends. And then, add in the hot flashes, I would be taking it off, and then putting it back on several times while wearing. LOL! Thanks so much for your very generous give-away!
