Family Ties

Nearly 10 years ago, the family gathered for a week-long camping trip. One branch of the family brought an RV and the rest tented. We cooked on an open campfire and connected with each other as adults. This photo of me with my nieces and nephews is one of my favorites from that gathering.

The devotion Rowdie (the border collie) shows to his master (Dwight) is priceless.

  1. Were in a tent or the RV? RV camping is my style, though it's hard to call it camping when you're surrounded by all the conveniences of home.

  2. Great photo! I love to camp! Haven't got to go since mother broke her hip 5 years ago.

  3. I think all border collies have that devotion, I know all ours have! This weekend DH came to see me at the camper, and Ruby the quilting dog was also here. Now I claim she's my husband's dog, but she ate 4 bowls of food the first day she was here, she wouldn't hardly eat ANYTHING when she was at home with him alone! I guess she loves me for filling her dish!
