Yesterday, I spent the afternoon playing Bunco at the senior center. The annual event was hosted by the Laramie Women's Club, and I'd estimate that 90 ladies spent the afternoon rolling the die, enjoying appetizers, and meeting new people. Lots of door prizes were awarded during the afternoon.
As you can see, I won as many rounds as I lost, and scored two buncos. It was a fun afternoon.
Have you played Bunco recently?
I have never played! Don't even know if I've ever heard of it! I will Google.
ReplyDeleteOMG I haven't played for years, but I love it!
ReplyDeleteOh, my! It has exploded in my area, too. Lots of friends have been telling of fun afternoons like you spent playing!
ReplyDeleteI played it when I was 10 when it rolled through my mom's friends a half century ago!!! Glad you had a good time!
I have never played this game...maybe I should check it out.
ReplyDeleteI play bunco every month with my neighborhood group that's been in existence for approx. 35 years!!! I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw 11 buncos on your score sheet..HA! You said 2! We give the top prize for most buncos, the 2nd prize for highest score and 3rd prize for 2nd highest score. Low score gets the booby prize (which is always nice!).
ReplyDeleteMy MIL used to play BUNCO every month with her friends for years and years until they all started passing away. They took turns hosting it and the hostess bought the prizes and furnished the treats. I think they had so many people, they only had to have a turn about every 22 months!
ReplyDeleteHow fun that you found a group. Will you play often now?
Blessings,
Betsy
My sister plays Bunco and I have no idea what it is. I had no idea it was a dice game.
ReplyDeleteI've never heard of this game. So glad you had a fun day out.
ReplyDeleteNot recently , but I sure enjoy the game!
ReplyDeleteI have never played! I'll have to try it sometime
ReplyDeleteI think I’ve played Bunco once. I usually prefer to stay home and read.
