Orphan Blocks
orphan blocks from Teresa C. in Tennessee November 2017 |
Seven of Teresa's 12.5 inch blocks are not shown in this photo because I pulled them for a quilt that I am currently making with the patriotic stars (see Wednesday's post).
It can be a challenge to work with orphan blocks, but once an idea or layout presents itself, things seem to fall into place.
Teresa, thank you for sending orphans to make Quilts of Valor.
These will be so much fun to work with-they all will play nicely together !

ReplyDeleteI'm looking forward to seeing what you do with them. I'm sure it will be fabulous!
ReplyDeleteAnd she can clearly sew:) Nice of her to share:)
ReplyDeleteWhat fun! This is like your own personal mystery quilt. I can never say no to orphan blocks.
ReplyDeleteOh have fun! Although because I'm not a quilter they all look random to me, I know you'll put them together in an amazing quilt.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Betsy
Nancy your network of quilters is far reaching. as is your impact!
ReplyDeleteCan’t wait to see what you come up with!!!!
ReplyDeleteNice blocks. It's wonderful that you take these orphans and make them into quilts to be given to folks who will be happy to have them. Great job.
ReplyDeleteI like this sort of challenge and look forward to seeing what inspiration strikes to bring a great result.
