Oh gosh, I don't have a favorite. In high school I dated a guy and we always had to be back at his house by 11:30 p.m. Saturday nights to watch a John Wayne movie...I would almost always fall asleep - lol.
I'd be hard pressed to choose a favorite John Wayne movie. We're big fans in this house. A few years back everyone received a DVD of "The Cowboys" in their stockings so they could all have their own copy since the kids no longer live at home.

ReplyDeleteThe Quiet Man, of course! John Wayne, Maureen O'Hara and Barry Fitzgerald.....doesn't get any better than that!
ReplyDeleteLove the mural!!!! I'll ask Fireman. I was never a fan of his! Too macho for me
ReplyDeleteMy stepmother and grandfather are/were huge Western Fans. I just liked to hang out while they watched. I am a fan of murals, though!
ReplyDeleteI like the oil one The Hellfighters? Actually any movie with John Wayne in is a good one! :)
ReplyDeleteI'm a fan, but not of some of his darker westerns. My favorite is actually Donovan's Reef. And Quiet Man too.
ReplyDeleteFun mural!
ReplyDeleteI've always like his movies but never had a favorite, just liked them all. Someone did a really nice job on the mural.
ReplyDeleteThe Train Robbers was a big favorite of mine...my husband was in a few films as an extra, and he was nicknamed the "Duke!"

ReplyDeleteI enjoyed his movies but not favorites. I always liked to claim his as a fellow alumni of the University of Southern California.
