a stack of sixty-three simple blocks April 2017 |
Marilyn and I recently had another sister's sewing retreat. I prepared several sewing projects, and I raided my 2.5 inch strip bin to make these simple red, blue, and neutral blocks.
I plan to make the Purple Daze quilt (link for free pattern is under the image), using the
silent auction eagle napkins in place of the stars.
That will be lovely and what a great use for your silent auction eagle napkins!!
ReplyDeleteI love the idea of mixing these blocks with those napkins. Good thinking!
ReplyDeleteHow you can trade the blocks is amazing to me. I guess you get better at visualizing, when you quilt all the time! Mine would be such a mess Nancy!!
ReplyDeleteI find I want to do everything you are doing, LOL!
ReplyDeleteI know it will be beautiful as everything you make is. It was a great idea to use for the stars. Something I never would've thought of.
ReplyDeleteBlessings, Betsy
Now this is a great way to use up those strips and end up with such a beautiful quilt! The idea of a sister's retreat is a new to me and a great time, I'm sure.
ReplyDeleteIt will look wonderful! :)
ReplyDeleteWould you mind telling me the measurements of the simple blocks at the top of your blot? Thanks so much. Nancy
ReplyDeleteThat is going to be one great quilt. And what a great use of the eagle napkins. Thanks for passing along the free pattern info too.
ReplyDeletePretty! Have you ever made a quilt using a tea towel as the focus?
ReplyDeleteYou choose the best patterns for your quilts and exchanging the stars for the eagle napkins is very clever! I'm looking forward to seeing this one go together - it's going to be a beauty!
