Scrappy Striped Socks - revisited

Scrappy Striped Socks
November 2016
For some reason this pair of socks kept getting pushed aside, moved from the table beside my knitting chair, to the coffee table, and then finally stuffed in the bottom of my knitting bag. I unearthed them on Friday and managed to finish them on Sunday.

Knit with scraps from five different yarns meant lots of ends to contend with once the final stitches were grafted.

Knitting details can be found on this August post.

  1. Those are some good looking socks. The colors are great together and it appears that you didn't have much left over.

  3. They look great! I had a bunch of ends to weave in on my last socks since I used different yarn for the heels and toes, but I'm trying to just relax and enjoy the weaving.

  5. Yes! As Bev mentioned they even match and I'm so impressed. SOme socks beg to be finished in my line of knits , some just linger. Hooray for your finish. I dont' like weaving in ends. GOOD FOR YOU for using up the stash.

  9. Way to use up your scraps! Our weather has been going up and down. Not quite cold enough to pull out the wool socks yet. Do you wash your socks before the first wearing or block them ?

  10. Very fun socks! I'd love to watch you take care of those ends as I'm never entirely happy the way I do it.
