Black Jack Socks

Black Jack socks
January 2015
I wasn't crazy about the colors in this yarn when I started this pair of socks, but it grew on me as I continued to knit. I think these are going to become my favorite socks.

  1. I was thinking, wild socks. And then I realized it was the frame that was so bright. You did a great job of getting the striping to match. Hum, note to self finish socks on needles start another pair.

  7. Cool! We are stinking cold today with severe windchills, I am IN for the rest of the day and not even sticking my nose out of the house:)

  9. Nice work, Nancy! In your earlier post the yarn looks black and here it looks blue? Whichever, like Kathy B. says, they're made to be worn with jeans. Enjoy. They're great!

  10. I think they are great, and agree they would look good with jeans. I've probably asked before, but how do you get the tops to stay up? Purchased socks have elastic in the top.

  11. Nancy these socks are so fun! I can see why they may become your new favorite! By the way thank you for leaving some sock construction suggestions in the comments for me. I really appreciate it as I am always trying to improve my sock work. It still feels so new to me.

  13. Visiting via Cranberry Morning where Judy featured some wonderful socks. Sadly, no one in my family knits socks, though most of us love a good pair of wool socks. (We buy Smart Socks from L.L.Bean.) I've very much enjoyed looking around your wonderful blog and visiting on Pinterest this morning. Who knows? I may have to pretend that I knit socks one day.
