I could hardly believe my eyes when I saw this sign in Colorado. On the way north to Riverton, I spotted a sign for $1.93 along the Interstate in Cheyenne, WY.

However, the prices are still in the $2.40-$2.50 range in
Riverton and the surrounding area. The photo above was taken last week, and since then the price has dropped to $2.45 a gallon. Even though Riverton consistently has higher prices than other towns in the state, that is a considerable price range. I doubt the lower prices will be available in Riverton for a long time, and possibly never.
I have yet to figure out why the gas prices do what they do and never thought we would see them this low again but I am not complaining:)
ReplyDeletePrice was$2.29 in Basin this weekend.
ReplyDeleteWow - that really is an amazing range of price. We usually see about 10 cents difference between Mitchell and Sioux Falls. And often in the summer during tourist season it is about 5 cents difference between the gas station by my house (far north end of town) and the stations located on I-90 on the south end of town. We are always just a bit cheaper farther from the interstate. I think we had about 2.09 this past week and Sioux Falls was about 1.99.
ReplyDeleteDoesn't that beat all. We see the same thing here in Texas. The highest pump prices are in the town where the refinery is!!!
ReplyDeleteBlessings and hugs!
We are about 2.29 . Remember the 4 dollar days not long ago?
ReplyDeleteGas around Fort Worth/Dallas Metroplex is running $2.00 to $1.88. Amazing how the price of gas can make life so much better for everyone (for one reason or another). We have family driving from Chicago this week and they are excited by the gas prices.
ReplyDeleteWow! I don't drive, but even here the prices have dropped but not like that! We are at about $3 now. Still, I am with Kathy B and remember when it was soo crazy high that I'm grateful for this even if I don't really drive that much.
ReplyDeleteThe last time I looked, our gas prices were around $1.89 also. I'm surprised yours aren't the lowest in the country. Isn't Wyoming a big drilling area?
ReplyDeleteQuite a range, indeed. It's maddening at times1
ReplyDeleteBrian got gas here (AZ) for $1.89 a gallon...today Its .68 a litre back home...which when you do the math...we in Alberta are still paying WAY to much!!
ReplyDelete1.99 today in town, I should have filled up but the wind was horrid... We will be higher come summer have to gouge the tourists:)
ReplyDeleteThis past Sunday we filled our tank at $1.73 a gallon. Virginia has pretty inexpensive gas taxes from what I understand. And that gas was bought at Sams. It was about $1.79 at a local gas station.
