Jack and the Bean Stalk Sapporo Snow Festival Sapporo, Japan February 1981 |
It was fun roaming around these giant snow sculptures. I can only imagine how much fun it was to carve them.

They are amazing!
ReplyDeleteWow! - Bet you had a wonderful experience at this festival. Neat photo!
ReplyDeleteWow! Jack seems a bit surprised!
ReplyDeleteIsn't it amazing how much detail they can get with SNOW??? We have been amazed at the sand sculptures at contests down here.
I love snow men, snow sculpt and ice sculpts. Fireman says our snow has been too dry and that is why we have no snow people in our area….
ReplyDeleteWOW I love it!!
ReplyDeleteWow--that is impressive!
ReplyDeleteWow that is some sculpture:)
ReplyDeleteHow fun to see this in person!
ReplyDeleteI will never look at snowmen (people) in the same way again! Building snowmen has never been interesting to me but this could hold my interest. Double WOW!!
ReplyDeleteThat's really impressive. Maybe if we get snow Monday, Saturday, Sunday and on the 12th as predicted, I'll be able to do some snow art!
ReplyDeleteSculptures like this are so AMAZING! I can't even imagine how the artist can do it. Very impressive work!
ReplyDeleteThat is amazing. Puts everything else to shame, and I thought the recent ones done by a couple of boys up north were pretty impressive.
