Thrifty Needles

I always look for circular needles in thrift shops or in the clearance bin that will work for Oddball blankets: sometimes I am lucky. This flurry of blankets was knit on "thrifty needles" that will travel many miles while being used for Oddball blankets.

All garter stitch - each knitter will add three colors
                          one color MUST be green for the lily pad

  5. Two of my kids were preemies, and each received a blanket when leaving the hospital. I'm still appreciative of the time, thought, and effort of the unknown volunteers. Seeing the Peter Pan blanket brought back those memories.

  9. wow, so many blankets! I have to be honest - I had to google 'oddball blanket' because I've never heard of a similar project. It sounds GREAT! I'd love to participate - I'll ask around my German knitters if there are similar projects in Europe. Thanks for sharing this :)
