Quilt of Valor

I purchased the eagle panel on my trip last May. Each eagle image is framed with fabric I had in my stash.

Both the deep red fabric in the center and the russet red in the upper right and lower left corners are from Marcus Fabrics' American Valor line. This fabric is sold in many quilt shops. I was disgusted that the fabric stretched and would not remain square no matter how much I tinkered with it. I will think twice before I purchase this brand of fabric again.

  2. Well, I can't tell it's not square from the picture. You must have gotten it pretty close. Nice work.

  7. Beautiful quilt Nancy!! I'd like to know if the photos of the eagles are printed on ordinary fabric or canvas or...what? They are so crisp and clear!

  8. It looks nice, but I imagine it was frustrating to have to fight the fabric.

  10. I'm sorry the fabric gave you fits. That's never any fun - takes the joy out of sewing. But the finished quilt is lovely. Some soldier will know that someone cared enough about them and their mission to do this. Thank you. g
