Scraps, Socks, and Spring
size 2 needles, using 56 stitches |
Kathy (fancystitchingnews) sent me scrap sock yarn months ago, and I am slowly knitting the scraps into bed socks to be placed in care packages for the troops overseas. My church has a contact with a chaplain in Afghanistan and packages are sent four times a year. Five pair of these short-cuffed socks were included in the last shipment.
Rain, instead of snow, actually fell out of the clouds on Saturday morning!
It may be premature to say this, but I think Spring has finally decided to arrive in Wyoming.
The socks are wonderful and will be appreciated I am sure.
