The snow sculptures at the festival were massive. I didn't realize until I scanned this image that the character is flashing the peace sign. For some reason, the Japanese (even today) commonly flash the peace sign in photos.

Oh neat! I'm pretty sure I wouldn't have recognized the peace sign without you pointing it out. I was too busy looking at the creature's face.
