Knit Pink
Pink has been a dominant color for my summer knitting projects. Hobby Lobby had a sale on Sugar and Cream last week, so my sister purchased twelve skeins and asked me to knit it into diagonal dishcloths for next year's Breast Cancer Walk. While I was in Denver, I knit 12 cloths (two cloths per skein).
I've knit four cloths since I've been home. The yarn cone was a thrift shop find and should produce several cloths to place in the walkers' baskets.

Pretty in pink.
ReplyDeleteVery thoughtful!
ReplyDeleteThis are made and given at Newborns in Need too. They wrap a bar of Ivory soap in them. Pretty....
ReplyDeleteDishcloths are my favorite to knit when I am "passing time". They don't take much concentration and some of my friends prefer them over cloth. I admit I have a hat box full that need the ends worked in- the part I don't like.
ReplyDeleteI wish I had done that! The walkers are to go by our house on Friday. I hope I can see them before I leave for work!
ReplyDeleteAwesome find with the cone! You can get lots of cloths from those.
ReplyDeletei love pink..Right now iam knitting a pink scarf, its plain but it will make some one warm, at least i do hope..
ReplyDeleteHave a nice day..
hugs,
Beautiful - my favorite color! I nearly "pinked" my twin daughters to death when they were little!
ReplyDeleteI've made a couple baby afghans knitted on the diagonal like these cloths. I've got enough cotton yarn to make another couple....one of these days I'll get back to knitting some.
ReplyDeleteI can't seem to make the diagonal dish clothes come out right!!!! They always end up kite shaped...I'm not sure what it is I'm doing wrong, its when I'm doing the decrease side that it comes out all wrong!!!
