Mid-December, my friend Sue gave me 10 embroidered, patriotic blocks for a Quilt of Valor. I decided on a pattern (
Autumn Harmony by Benartex) and started working with Sue's blocks last week. Since she had embroidered the blocks on large squares of fabric, I was able to select a pattern more easily.
Thanks, Sue for helping me create a Quilt of Valor or maybe even two.
Love this embroidered block. Can't wait to see all of them.
ReplyDeleteThis is going to be one special quilt...
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful gift, and I know these quilts will be very special indeed!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful!
ReplyDeleteOh my - this is going to be a spectacular QOV. The narrow frames look so good to set off those embroidered blocks. It is probably extra fun to collaborate on this.
ReplyDeleteHer embroidery is adorable and the pattern you chose to set it off is just perfect.
ReplyDeleteOh cool. I want to see more!
ReplyDeleteThis is lovely! I can't wait to see more. Your friend Sue is quite the talented embroider-er, no? Teamed with your quilting, there will be a very happy soldier somewhere. Thank you both! g
ReplyDeleteThe embroidery is just gorgeous and I agree with others that you selected a perfect pattern to frame them. This is right up my alley! It is going to make a lovely QOV.
