Patriotic Bricks

June 2022

Once more, I’m working on reducing scraps - this time the 3.5” x 6.5” bricks of patriotic fabric. I’m also using scraps of tone on tone, white fabric by adding 2 inch strips to the sides to create a 6.5” block.

The blocks practically sew themselves, and I have nearly enough made for a QOV. I’m using the Forest Bricks pattern from MaryQuilts

It seems that the more I try to get the scraps under control, the more I find or create .

  1. I love this plan! I could do something like this with my scraps too. Working on some Chandelier/Beads blocks for the next QOV block drive, but this would be a good one to try out too.

  2. They're beautiful, but isn't that the way? Creating even more scraps as you go?

  10. Nice plan to use your scrap…at least some of them. It is a never ending resource. (Better than calling it a problem!)
