The Sockhead Cowl, knit from a dyed sock blank, is off the needles, washed, and lightly blocked. I'm pleased with this cowl: the yarn is soft and has a bit of drape, and the colors are subtle and colorfast.
I think the recipient will enjoy wearing this snuggly cowl.
I love the colors in that yarn! I'm intrigued by that pattern, I have to say.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous!
ReplyDeleteOh Nancy, that turned out so pretty. It looks delicate but I'm sure it's not. I love my sockhead cowl. I've only worn it once so I may wash it and donate it for the Mission. It's supposed to be cold and I don't want anyone to suffer when I have extra warm items here.

this turned out so pretty for a cowl! Nice job on the dyeing and the knitting!
ReplyDeleteHow beautiful is that! And the grey shows up so much more in the cowl.
ReplyDeleteThat turned out so well Nancy! Love the colors. How is it knitting with a sock blank? I'm not sure if the kinkiness (for lack of a better word) would bother me or not...
ReplyDeleteWow that is a beauty, fun to see how it turned out!
ReplyDeleteIt looks great!!! The way the colors make a pattern is just so pretty.
ReplyDeleteGrowing up, I'd never heard of cowls. Now, I rarely go out without one.
ReplyDeleteYours looks fantastic! Love the color.
It’s nice to see the finished blank and compare it to the cowl. You did a great job dying it.
