An Afternoon of Multi-tasking

an afternoon of multi-tasking
December 2021

Bonnie called Monday and asked if I would be available to be a substitute receptionist yesterday. I told her my schedule was open. Since the center has cut back on activities due to COVID, it was a quiet afternoon. I answered the phone, took messages, and transferred calls. There was a LOT of time for knitting.

I finished the cuff, the heel flap, the heel turn, and the gusset during my shift. The prospect of having this pair finished by the end of the year looks promising.

  2. Nice! I remember doing the same (though I did crochet at the time) when I manned the reception desk in my dorm!

  4. Back in my mid-20s, I had a receptionist job that had a lot of down time. I got a lot of knitting done too!

  5. That was very nice of you. No volunteering in person yet at the hospital. Only knitting/crochet donations. Will Covid ever end?
Your sock is looking great. Love the colors.

  11. What a great way to make forced progress on your socks. You helped out and you got to knit. That's definitely a win-win situation.
