Up, Up and Away

Up, Up and Away socks
October 2021

I love hot-air balloons! This pair of socks reminds me of the brilliantly colored balloons that fly over Riverton every summer during the Rendezvous Balloon Festival.

These were knit with one of the sock blanks I dyed a few weeks ago.

The vibrant colors in these socks will lift my spirits every time I wear them. In fact, I might even skip down the street. Anyone remember the Fifth Dimension’s Up, Up and Away from 1967?

  2. I love your colorful socks. The socks I knit always give me a lift in gloomy, cold winter in New England.

  3. Now YOU'VE placed an ear worm instead of Connie. I had hers several time last week! Those socks are great. Love the brilliant colors. We've been watching videos of the Albuquerque balloon festival this year. It was great. I've always wanted a balloon to land in our yard.

  7. I sure do remember that song! My daughter is having a hot air balloon themed baby shower. I'm not sure why she chose that for her boy baby to be but it's been fun doing the invitations and the decorations. My DIL is going to make some beautiful hot air balloon shaped cookies.
