Scattered Thoughts

Not all of the public art (murals) in Laramie are large and commanding. Some are small and hint at something larger than themselves. This mosaic is on the west side of the alley between Ivinson and Grand.  It's made with bits of tile, broken mirrors and pottery shards.

On a side note: I received the first dose of the Moderna vaccine last Thursday. Other than a sore arm on Friday and a red patch the size of a fifty-cent piece at the vaccination site, I didn't have any side effects. I'm scheduled for the second dose next month.

  1. That is beautiful! It's like a ceramic crazy quilt.
How wonderful that you've got the first shot finished with little problem. We are still waiting here.

  3. Good to hear you've begun that vaccination process. My age group is now eligible, but I have no idea when we might actually get called. So, continued patience at my house. I'm so intrigued by the art around your community.

  4. I was going to say it looks a little like a quilt but Debbie beat me to it!
I'm glad you got your shot with no issues. We still can't get Dennis an appointment and I'm still not eligible so we're waiting, waiting, waiting. Trying to be patient but would really like them before we start traveling back and forth to Nebraska and staying in hotels along the way.
    Blessings,
    Betsy

  5. So pleased that you are receiving your vacinations. Ours have just arrived in the country, and border staff and medical personnel are first in line, then the public will get their jabs.

  9. So happy you are getting your vaccination. Hopefully the time will go fast between now and the second one. I'm up next week for my second, also Moderna. Pat went this am for Pfizer. So far no big deal. However our d-i-l has been feeling crummy for about a week. She also had the Pfizer but said it is known to cause issues for sufferers of migraines which she does. She also said that people with O and O+ blood types do better than other blood types. She tends to keep up with the science of things so probably did the same for the vaccine. Hope you have a good week.
