ribbed, sock cuffs
June 2019 |
Since the weather has been chilly and rainy, I selected some yarn from my stash and began three pairs of socks and have a completed cuff for each. The repetitious knitting helped me focus on something beside the nasty weather.
During my knitting spree, I also finished the socks used as a
teaching tool.
Very nice! Knitting is definitely good therapy!
ReplyDeleteI've been enjoying nice, repetitious knitting too!
ReplyDeleteOK, I'm tired of rainy weather too, but I would gladly take the cool ...
ReplyDeleteI think socks are a good way of keeping sane. :-)
I read about your fall, as I have been out of pocket for a while. I am so sorry, darn it all!!! I know you are keeping busy...lovely socks!
ReplyDeleteIt was cool and rainy the whole 3 days I was in Iowa on the bus trip. Now we have had a couple of glorious sunny summer days - which will turn into HOT and HUMID miserable weekend I guess. But I'm sure enjoying the nice days.
ReplyDeleteWhat is the red white and blue sock yarn? I love it!
ReplyDeleteIt's still cool and rainy here today. In fact, I'm covered with a blanket as I type this! Love all of your socks. I finished a pair last night just before midnight. One more pair to go for a Christmas gift and then I can make whatever I want! What should I do?
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Betsy
I love all those cuffs! I like to do that too. Knitting a pile at a time keeps you from getting bored.
ReplyDeleteHas your friend Carol completed her socks? And perhaps started her second pair, under your tuition of course.
ReplyDeleteCasting on socks is a perfect activity for rainy days. And snowy days. And sunny days!
ReplyDeleteIt is always comforting to sort through yarn and start, start, start socks!
ReplyDeleteReally, three at once — and all of them with cuffs done? You go girl. I’ll just do a little thumb twiddling instead of making progress — or that’s what it seems to me.
ReplyDeleteI wish I had the concentration to get back to socks...maybe "stuff" will settle down soon:) I like that red white and blue yarn too:) Hopefully your student has finished her socks too?
