scarf
January 2019 |
The yarn that
fooled me twice is getting yet another chance to become a finished object. Maybe, the third attempt is the charm.
I decided to knit a simple garter stitch scarf with the lace weight yarn and randomly add some eyelet lace. I began with a provisional cast on, so the two ends can be grafted easily into an eternity scarf.

Sky Scarf
finished January 2013 |
Since the Sky Scarf, knit in 2013, is one of my favorite accessories, I thought a similar scarf would be worn a lot. So far, the yarn is behaving itself: it must be happy with my plan.
That will be lovely - good luck! Hope the yarn behaves. Love that picture of you and your Sky Scarf - how happy!
ReplyDeleteThe yarn better behave this time!!!! I like the idea of a garter plus scarf-it is very pretty! (what a nice photo of you, too!)

Love the red and black. I’m glad the yarn is behaving now. It will be a warm addition.
ReplyDeleteHello Nancy, how nice to see a photo of you.
ReplyDeleteIt's always nice when a yarn decides what it wants to be!
ReplyDeleteSometimes it just takes a few times tries before your supplies fall into place with your project - that's happened to me with fabric and scrap booking in the past. It looks as if you have found the perfect match. I just love that photo - fun and joy and beauty and wisdom.
