Perspective
As I get closer to moving day, I'm feeling more like the bug. While I haven't experienced any large obstacles or detours, I'm
Today, the movers will be here to pack and load my things. Once the truck is loaded, I'll give the house a good cleaning (vacuuming and/or mopping the floors) and cleaning the hall bathroom. The refrigerator and oven have already been scrubbed, and the master bathroom has been cleaned (the door is securely closed and a sign taped on the door to use the hall bathroom). The garage needs to be swept when everything is loaded.
The moving truck will depart Riverton early Friday morning and drive to Laramie which is four hours or approximately 221 miles away.
Marilyn and Brenda are driving up from Colorado to help with unpacking. By Sunday maybe I'll feel a bit more "normal."
Best wishes on your move. Every time we hit a little glitch or wore down so much we kept "keep our eyes on the prize" in our thoughts.
ReplyDeleteHope your move goes smoothly and soon you are resting with your feet up and knitting at your side.
I'll be thinking about you! I hope the process goes smoothly. I'm with Dee - sitting with your feet up and knitting is a great goal. Unpacked or not that should be your plan for Sunday evening.
ReplyDeleteSuch a big step you’re making. I’m so excited for you. I would love to be packing up and moving to a smaller place myself. You sound so organized. I hope all goes smoothly for you and I will be praying for you my friend. Blessings, Betsy
ReplyDeleteNancy you have done the most difficult part I think. Good moves are stressful too. Take your vitamins. Stay hydrated. Praying for a good road trip. Yeah for Marilyn and Brenda. And I SO need your new address please when you have time to email it to me
ReplyDeleteMoving is exhausting! But you're almost over the hump!
ReplyDeletePrayers are being said for a quick and problem-free move. You did the hard part when you made the decision to move, the rest is just exhausting work. You have been on my mind and in my heart Nancy!!
ReplyDeleteYou are ALMOST there!!! Wishing you a smooth trip with good weather and how wonderful that Marilyn & Brenda will be there to help you. You'll be relaxing before you know it!
ReplyDeleteSafe travels!!!
ReplyDeleteTraveling mercies for you and your stuff!
ReplyDeleteMovinghousesis always rather stressful. Hope it all goes smoothly and that you get settled quickly.
ReplyDeleteIt is exhausting...you've done well with all the preparations!
ReplyDeleteSoon you will be fussing around making your new place your very own! (setting up that sewing machine will do you wonders!)
I've never had a 'smooth' move. They were all exhausting. You are making a major move. Don't overdo! Good luck and hope you love Laramie.
ReplyDeleteExhausted is right! But the end is in sight. As I type this I'm imagining you with some of the boxes emptied and flattened ready for recycling. Hopefully your bed is made so you can get a good night sleep and you have enough food in the house for a decent breakfast in the morning! The worst is over -- unpacking can be done in an "as needed" way. Although I know you will keep plugging away on all the bins, boxes and etc. so you can start to feel at home in your new place.
ReplyDeleteHope you have the necessities unpacked by now, so glad Marilyn and Brenda are there to help you! Hope you get some rest!! :)
ReplyDeleteWow! You have been busy, my friend. Congratulations on taking this big step. It is a ton of work, both physical and emotional. I'm so glad you found a good apartment. It will all be worth it!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, I have missed so much being away from not only blogging but reading blogs. I am glad you’ll be closer to your sister, and I hope your trip goes well and by Sunday you can put your feet up, relax, and enjoy your new home.
