  1. Love crab apple blossoms! (Unfortunately our tree died). Happy May Day to you as well.

  2. We saw a lot of crabapples blooming in Kansas and Nebraska on our road trip, but we are a few days away here yet. There is a magnificent tree on the next block and it is getting close to blooming. Can't wait because it's always so pretty. But - our grass is green and will need mowing by the weekend so spring must have finally arrived.

  3. Beautiful! I should take a trip down the road and see if the orchards are in bloom here. None of the residential trees are quite yet.

  4. Oh my goodness! It is May Day! I had completely forgotten. We finally have a few blossoms on our pear tree in the front yard and Dennis had to mow the grass last night. Spring must be here, but it’s still pretty chilly around these parts! Ha!
    Blessings, Betsy

  6. Happy May Day to you, too! I've been noticing lilacs blooming all over the valley here, and the wisteria in my back yard is starting to open its blossoms, also.

  7. I haven't seen a crabapple in years. We had one in our yard when I was growing up. Every year I'd have to taste those sour little apples.

  10. Our flowering trees have pretty well dropped their flowers and have full heads of leaves. The temperature did a major spike and we are having a week of mid 90s. YUCK. Hopefully things will relax back to more spring like weather -- mid to high 70s.
