God Bless America

God Bless America,
Land that I love.
Stand beside her, and guide her
Thru the night with a light from above.
From the mountains, to the prairies,
To the oceans, white with foam
God bless America, My home sweet home.
(God Bless America ~ words and music by Irving Berlin)
Happy Independence Day!
Thank you to all those who serve and protect this nation that I love
Amen! I hope your 4th is a wonderful day of celebration. I am doing some work today (must finish up a couple of customer quilts so I can head off to quilt retreat next week), and of course we are grilling today. It will all be rather low-key, but we will enjoy the holiday.
ReplyDeleteI prefer that song and My Country 'Tis of Thee to our national anthem. ;) I will miss watching the fireworks, but Gretchen's state of mind is more important.
ReplyDeleteHave a great holiday Nancy!! And yes God Bless America!!
