Foreign Friday

Every Spring, my colleagues and I gathered at the airport to say "good-bye" to teachers transferring to another country/base or going back to the USA. We toasted the individuals to wish them safe travel and good fortune in their new assignment.

  1. What a bittersweet moment to say goodbye to friends and wish them happy travels, capturing a moment in time when you all shared a similar experience. Looks like fun-loving folks.

  2. What a time you must of had...such great memories!!!

  3. What a sweet send-off. I wonder if it would be possible with the new TSA rules?

  4. What a happy group! Were you leaving or bon voyage-ing?

  5. What a cute tradition! I hope Zach, my son, who begins teaching in August here, has such wonderful times. He has taken an offer to teach 6, 7 and 8th graders Spanish. He will be teaching here in town at the Catholic school. It is a great start job.
