Best Foot Forward
Finally, I have some actual knitting to show. Even though I prefer matching socks, I am pleased with these fraternal twins.
Patons Kroy Socks FX (Clover Colors) yarn - same dye lot, but striped very differently. Knit on size 2 circulars, using two 50g skeins.
Very nice. I'm working on a pair made with a merino/silk combo. Super soft.
ReplyDeleteLove the socks. They turned out great.

Love the colors! It looks like it would have been next to impossible to match those stripes.
ReplyDeleteThese will bring smiles to your feet:)
ReplyDeleteWonderful!! I think I want to knit some socks all of a sudden... but I need to knit baby hats. Another friend is willing hers out this week. ;) (It's her second, so she knows better... in theory...)
ReplyDeleteYou are a beautiful knitter. It amazes me that you get so much done unlike me. Great job.

Beautiful socks. That is my hubbys favorite yarn for socks and while i always match dye lots, I find different balls knit very differently. g
ReplyDeleteI had the same experience with my Patton socks... no way those socks would match. BUT they are the absolutely warmest socks in my collection. You will enjoy wearing them once the (and I hesitate to say this) C-O-L-D weather returns.
ReplyDeleteI thought they did match until you mentioned it! They are wonderful and look warm too! Fun finish
ReplyDeleteGorgeous socks---really love them!
ReplyDeleteSo nice.. I love you socks... they are really in right now...not totalling matching!!
ReplyDeleteThose are really pretty! I think I have some of that yarn!
ReplyDeleteYowie -- they are totally different looking although you really have to look to realize it. But, why would the company make the balls so differently? I need to look for yarn that doesn't warm the feet! One of these days I'll do some knitting again... but it might be for Sophia rather than me! Nice work.
ReplyDeleteIt's so hard to predict when socks will match. Even though yours are not an exact match, they are pretty darn close. Lovely socks and I bet they'll keep your feet nice and warm :)
