Pick a Color
Saint Matthew's Cathedral Laramie, WY |
Most of the doors on St. Matthew's are bright red, and I love them! To me, the color of the doors is welcoming.
When I lived in Riverton, I painted my front door Kelly Green, but I also considered painting it Lemon Yellow.
If you could paint your exterior door any color, what would it be?
Ours is RED!
ReplyDeleteOurs is green, our last house it was red! I love a red door!!
ReplyDeleteBlue! Just like the house with the blue door in Nottinghill. But Dennis will never go for anything except white. He humors me in everything else so I don't push it.
ReplyDeleteThose doors on the cathedral are gorgeous, especially the ironwork. Thanks for sharing them with us.
Blessings,
Betsy
My front door is forest green, but if I changed it - red for sure. One of my girls painted their front door a burnt orange when trying to sell their previous house and it looked wonderful.
ReplyDeleteMy front door is a brick red. I tried painting it blue once and it was awful so I quickly painted over it. We are planning on replacing that old door though and the replacement will be white. I wonder how I am going to like it. I do like a colorful door.
ReplyDeleteI just read recently that red church doors are symbolic. Check it out on Google! Our front door is a dark brown like the rest of the house, as are many of them in our woodsy neighborhood. It is brightened up though by a pretty window.
ReplyDeleteI would chose terra cotta!
ReplyDeleteI've seen so many churches with big red doors. Our doors are currently red, and while it's nice, it doesn't really go with the house. The plan is to paint them a nice, dark green
ReplyDeleteI think I would go for a red door. Unfortunately, we'll probably never do that though. Oh well.
ReplyDeleteMy front door is burnt orange. I love different doors.
ReplyDeleteOur front door is a boring gray. I'd paint it a deep blue if my husband would agree.
