In the Neighborhood
Little Library Grand Villa October 2020 |
The owner of my apartment complex built a Little Library for the tenants, and everyone could not be happier. It's twice the size of most of the Little Libraries I've seen, and has weather stripping around the doors, so it will be weather tight.
inside is a wide variety of books |
This is not a registered Free Little Library, but it's a great addition to the neighborhood, and better yet, it's just across the parking lot.
What a great idea to make it weather tight! Wish I lived in your neighborhood so I could swap books too.
ReplyDeleteKudos to your complex owner. Fabulous idea to provide a place for tenants to share.
ReplyDeleteIt's adorable! They did a very nice job. The one we used to have just sat out under cover but still in the weather and books were always damp. I love my books too much to put them through that so I never donated. They took it away because of Covid. The town had very strict rules and had amazingly good numbers. I wish I could say the same for the rest of the state.
ReplyDeleteWhat a good idea!
ReplyDeleteI love that! what a fun library...I would love one in my neighborhood!!
ReplyDeleteHow great is that? I love it - bigger is better with books I think. And, with your weather, it's great that it was made weather tight!!
ReplyDeleteIt's perfect! How thoughtful of the owner to build such a nice library for you all. With the weather in Wyoming, weather-tight is definitely necessary. Lots of reading will be done this winter and no trips to the "big" library, if yours is even open. Ours isn't.
ReplyDeleteWe had 60 mph winds yesterday. The trailer shook a bit when a huge gust hit it but really did very well and I was nice and cozy inside.
Blessings,
Betsy
How wonderful it that!!! and the weather stripping is a great idea.
ReplyDeleteThat's awesome!
ReplyDeleteSuper. Nicely made to hold up to Wyoming weather. And lucky you that it is so close. I hope you find some thing good to read in it.
ReplyDeleteWhat a perfect addition to the 'neighborhood'! You all will enjoy sharing the books!
ReplyDeleteOhhh Horray for the Big Little library!!!
ReplyDeleteThree cheers for the owner of your apartment complex - such a wonderful addition to the neighborhood. I would be poking my head in there often.
ReplyDeleteIt sure looks like it's made good and the books won't get wet.
