Work Zone Ahead

In the coming weeks, please expect delays in my posts, as I will be distracted - busy preparing to move. After living in the Wind River Basin for 55 years (25 years in my present house), I am moving to Laramie, WY to be a bit closer to Colorado where my sister and niece live.

I've been searching for an appropriate "senior" apartment complex for several months and toured three sites. I was completely surprised to get a call on Thursday, that an apartment would be available on August 1st. It's located in a lovely area with mature trees, has an attached garage, and is a corner unit. I couldn't be happier: no more snow shoveling or yard work for me.

I've got a lot of things to do in the next two/three weeks, so please don't be surprised if I fall off the radar for a while. I'll try to post random photos when I can.

  6. Wow! That's a long way to move but it _will_ put you closer to family and much better medical facility options, for sure! Another important consideration when we get older.

  10. That is a big move! I confess, I am a bit jealous. I would love to be moving to a senior complex and not have any more yardwork or snow shoveling AND be closer to family too. A few more years and hopefully it will be us. I will be thinking and praying for you as you make this huge transition. I’m looking forward to seeing pictures of your new place.
    Blessings,
    Betsy

  16. That is a major change/move. I hope you like your new place and being closer to your family. Laramie has some nice quilt/sew clubs, don't know about knitting. I below the American Sewing Guild there and enjoy it the few times I can make a meeting every year.
