My #5 UFOs are unfinished Quilts of Valor - a word panel and some wildlife panels. The wildlife panels have been in my stash for over three years. In recent years, more veterans in this area have selected wildlife or hunting related quilts over patriotic quilts.
What a cool way to choose your project!

Daddio loved wildlife panels. I have some from his stash too.

ReplyDeleteOur friend and Vet, Larry, would have liked a fishing themed quilt. IT turned out he got one that looked like various shades of blue water and that was perfect.

It will be fun to see what these different-themed valor quilts look like.
ReplyDeleteI've seen some really great quilts lately that used wild life panels. They are not something I've ever bought, but some of those quilts tempted me.
ReplyDeleteThat doesn’t surprise me that they would choose wildlife/hunting, I know my sons were proud to serve in the Army, but I think they would pick wildlife/hunting as well.
