This panel has been in my stash for a long time and was added to my UFO challenge list to be completed this year. Horizontal panels can be a challenge, so I searched Pinterest for ideas and discovered this pattern that highlights and complements the panel.
What a great use of a panel, Nancy! I struggle with those, but I have a few that really ought to be in a quilt instead of spending their days stashed on a dark shelf. I was also going to comment on your book recommendation post, but it seems to have disappeared. I just wanted to say that we have a similar taste in books. I put The Goldfinch on my list. I recently enjoyed The Pecan Man by Cassie Dandridge Selleck.
What a great solution. That’s a real man’s quilt. I am saving this idea for our community quilts program. It’s always hard to find nice quilt patterns for men.

So clever! It's like looking through a window. Very nice.
ReplyDeleteI just saw a similar one on Pinterest too. Love the layout. That should appeal to a lot of outdoors enthusiasts.
ReplyDeleteI can see a LOT of men loving that quilt. I like the window effect.
