Nymphalidea - a Beginning

April 2015
This shawl was on display at Sin City Knit Shop, and Brenda asked if I would knit it for her if she purchased the yarn.

Pattern: Nymphalidea (free on Ravelry OR  Knitty - Deep Fall 2013)

Charcoal Tonal by (100% extra fine merino wool)
Dune - Petite Madison by prism (75% merino, 15% cashmere, 10% silk)

Needles: size 6 US

  1. My friends/family never ask me to knit for them because I'm so slowwww! It would be 2018 before I'd finish this! :-)

  2. Ooooh, nice project. The wool must be pretty soft, looking at the contents. The pattern is interesting and should keep you on your toes, eh?

  3. how nice of you!!! I don't really like when people ask me to knit for them. Im selfish!!

  4. So pretty Nancy!! I like the way the grey variegated yarn makes it look like the black is bleeding into the grey areas. Great combination!

  5. Very pretty - your friend chose some lovely yarn. You'll have to make sure you get a photo of her wearing it when you finish.

  6. Love that color combo! :-)

  7. You are off to a good start. I like the way it drapes in the picture.

  8. Looks like a nice pattern and great colors! You are a nice friend to do that!
