It's So True!

found on the Country Sampler blog

Marilyn and I visited a LOT of quilt shops (over 20 at last count) on our trip, and I purchased fabric in nearly every one of them.

I got backing fabric at the Crafty Corner Quilt and Sewing Shoppe in Worthington, MN - over 40 yards alone in that one shop. All of the fabric (some Kansas Troubles and Thimbleberries) was from the Clearance Room, and I paid an unheard of $3.50 a yard. It's hard to pass a deal like that!

  1. Great deal! You've got to stock up when you find prices like that.

  2. ROFL! Substitute *yarn* for fabric and I'm in that same boat. LOL

I was out on my walk yesterday and saw an interesting tag holder on my neighbor's car. It said "fat quarters are not a body part". I guess she must be a quilter.

  3. Cute cartoon. A bargain is a bargain, no matter where you are. It's a great deal when you know you'll use it, so... congrats on a steal!

  5. Tell me you were able to finance your habit and did not have to sit with a tin cup in your hand! On a serious note you will be able to make so many more QOV with your bargains. You go girl!

  7. Wow!!! In my widest dreams I couldn't imagine buying 40 yards of fabric!!!! Still we never have prices like that in NZ. we would think it a bargain if fabric was $15 a meter!!

    Cheers

  10. I am so jealous of your 40 yards at $3.50 a yard. I will try to channel you over the next few days in Amish country.... but, honestly, I don't want 40 yards! 10 maybe if I can squeeze it into the truck.
