Healthy Favorites

Today I want to share some health/exercise sites that I am currently using or have used. All of these sites are similar in that they require free registration (you can determine how much you want to share) and they track your daily exercise and/or food intake. Some send motivational emails, reward coupons, or daily reminders.

SuperTracker - affiliated with My Plate. This is an excellent exercise and food tracker. I particularly like that I can save favorite exercises/activities, making it easier to track my level of activity. This tracker will also send motivational emails if you make that selection. I have one complaint about this site: it doesn't remember log-in; thus, I must enter my password, etc. every time I want to enter data.

Start Walking Now - affiliated with the American Heart Association. If you live in a more populated area with walking trails, this site will help you find them. Unfortunately, it doesn't list any trails in my area, but I do like the activity tracker. This site also requires the password be entered each time I access it.

America on the Move - I've used this site off and on for about 8 years. I especially like the virtual trails. After selecting a trail, enter the steps taken each day (from a pedometer) or the minutes to see your progress on the virtual trail. It will also convert other exercises or activities. If the trail is completed in the time you determine, you will be given a certificate of completion. This site also allows you to invite friends and you can determine if you want your trail visible to those friends. This tracker will also send motivational emails if you make that selection. This site remembers my log-in; thus, eliminating the need to enter a password each time I access it.

Walk with Walgreens - obviously affiliated with Walgreens. This site is similar to the others, but with a couple of added features. You can plot your walks on a virtual map to determine its length, save the walk to repeat another day, or share the "walk" with others on the site. By using this tracker, you can earn coupons for various products sold at Walgreens. This site also has a community forum. This site also requires the password be entered each time I access it.

I hope you find one or more of these trackers helpful.
