Windows of Faith
I've admired the windows in my church for years and decided to share them with my readers on Sunday. Each Sunday I will feature two stained-glass windows along with an explanation of each window. Previous windows can be viewed by typing "Windows of Faith" in the search box in the top left corner.
The Bible in this window symbolizes the Word of God; the burning torch, the witnessing of the children of God. The torch is also a symbol of the Nativity of our Lord Jesus Christ, who is the Word made flesh. The circle has neither a beginning or end the eternal existence of God and His eternal Word.
The shell is often used as a symbol of Holy Baptism, and the three drops of water indicate baptism, "In the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit."
