Star Gazer
Star Gazer Quilt of Valor 55 x 67 inches |
I used the BB#1 block and the "B" layout for that block which created a "floating star." Focus on the neutral triangles to see the stretched star.
Update: May 26, 2012
Alycia posted this quilt on her blog today. It should be wrapped around a hero soon.
Star Gazer was presented at a Vet Center in June 2012.
I didn't see the stars at first, but now I do. Neat!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the focusing hint! Beautiful.
ReplyDeleteIt took me a minute, but I got it! LOL Reminds me of those Magic Eye things.
ReplyDeleteVery beautiful!
I need to back up to see the stars, but that is a lovely quilt. You inspire me. g
ReplyDeleteYour QOV looks great! I love that variegated blanket strip!
ReplyDeletewow! that doesn't look anything like the pattern. I may have to figure this one out. It looks like the block is very easy. I belong to a group that makes blocks for each other and most of the time the quilts go to charity. This would be an easy block for them to do and any time it is easy lots of blocks are made thus more charity quilts can be made. thanks for sharing this one...
