12 Days of Christmas
Twelve Days of Christmas Mini Quilt Mystery |
Above are my 3.5 inch (unfinished) blocks for days One thru Eight. Do you notice anything about the make-up of the blocks? Each block has the number of pieces for the day it represents, i.e. the eighth day block has eight pieces. These pieces are small - the center of the seventh block is a 1 1/8 inch square, making precise cuts and an accurate seam essential for uniform block size.
Christmas is not over yet, so it's not too late to join in the fun.
What a fun way to celebrate the season!! I think I pity you for the last few though... ;) I never had great scissor skills.
ReplyDeleteDay Twelve should be a challenge!
ReplyDeleteI am going to have to check that out!!...
ReplyDeleteGreat looking quilt! I love that each day has the number of pieces for that day.
ReplyDeleteYes, you still have a few more days left of Christmas! Your quilt squares are beautiful. Lovely color combos :)

Great idea that will be a beautiful quilt! I was thinking how much fun that would be to try right up to the "precision cuts and accurate seams" thing. I honestly couldn't do that!!
ReplyDeleteVery fun way to keep the season alive for another week. It feels so over here.....it was an odd one for us. I LOVE your way of Keeping it going

ReplyDeleteGlad you joined in on the fun. I agree with you -- Christmas isn't over until Epiphany! We didn't decorate a whole lot but the stuff won't be coming down until at least Friday.
ReplyDeleteAnd, amazing "white elephant" gift indeed!
