Adding to My Sock Drawer

My knitting has slowed to a crawl, but I did manage to finish a pair of socks for myself. The size 10 socks have a 7-inch ribbed leg (cuff) for more coverage.

Knit with Cherry Tree Hill Supersock Select Semi-Solid (Slate) 100% superwash merino, using size 2 circular needles. The skein contained 420 yards, and the small ball is what remained.

Hopefully, this finish will motivate me to knit some other projects.

  2. I love the color. I started a new pair of socks but had to pull them out since I kept messing up. Maybe this weekend will be better for knitting :)

  4. OH I LOVE THESE SOCKS! I am a beginning knitter and would love to learn to knit socks! Is this one you start at the toe? And on circular needles I assume. Four needles is beyond me, I am not that coordinated. Great Job.

  6. gorgeous yarn! what pattern do you use for circular knitting? And, does it take two needles? And is it heavier sock yarn or lighter? Sorry, you just got me going! I am working my way down from heel to the toe on one sock. Not getting much applique done because of that! B.

  9. Heeehehehe!!! At least ya have a beautiful pair...that matches. I told ya about my DIL who tires of a color by the time she finishes a sock didn't I??? Anyhow she has beautiful socks but no matches!

God bless ya and have a remarkable day sweetie!

  10. Love those socks. I happen to be knitting some for myself right now. Hard for me to find sock yarn that does not contain wool--it doesn't agree with my skin, but did manage to locate some nice yarn here and there. My daughter is sad because she has been wearing a pair that I knitted for her in 2001, and they wore out--even though I have knitted her some since then--
