Knitting by the Book(s)
Between my appointments in Lander and after my walk (see yesterday's post), I went to the library to knit. These socks are now finished.
This addition to Lander library is less than ten years old. It is well designed with lots of windows for natural light. The ceiling in the center section is elevated and has painted murals of local areas and events. Some of the murals are partially visible in this photo.
That library looks like the perfect place to enjoy some knitting or a book.
ReplyDeleteOur library is way too hectic. I live by the east Orlando branch and it is mobbed whenever it is open. There are many, MANY homeless people that come in when it is too hot (or too cold) and I don't know what ever happened to "library voices". Seems that is a manner that has passed into oblivion.
The downtown library is the same way ........on the other hand....it's good to see the library being used. I know our branch is the busiest in the county, but I think all of them are pretty well used.
Love the colors in your socks:)
ReplyDeleteI love libraries. You picked a great spot to knit!
ReplyDeleteGoing to the library to knit--what a great idea! I love our local library because it is just the right size, has good light and comfy chairs. I think I will go there to knit. Thanks for the idea Nancy!
ReplyDeleteYes, what a great spot to knit. You finished the sock? Wow, you flew through that pair!!!
ReplyDeleteNancy , the little white toes and heels are great! Love that look. :)
ReplyDeleteLOve the Library …always
Nice socks, Nancy. I love the way you did the toes and heels! Nice colors, too!
ReplyDeleteThe library is a great place to hang out. I don't take advantage of our public libraries often enough.
ReplyDeleteWhat a perfect spot to wait between appointments! Our public libraries simply aren't so accessible for me, even though I work in town again.
ReplyDeleteNice and quiet, sometimes that's what I need to figure out some patterns.
ReplyDeleteAre you knitting socks with two circulars?
ReplyDeleteMy knitting group meets in the library once a month. The library is awesome!!
